The Gardens at Fair Oaks
Nursing Home Ministry
This ministry was originally started by Fran Tomlinson, one of the founding members of Chantilly Bible Church, when she moved into The Gardens. Her love for her friends, her concern for those who at the end of their lives still did not know the Lord, and her desire to help those who were lonely, led to the start of this ministry.
Our primary mission is to bring the Word and love of Jesus Christ into the assisted living community of the Gardens at Fair Oaks Assisted Living Home. God's word is spoken each Sunday from 2-3PM in the special care "Alzheimer's" section of the home. We allow time to visit with each resident personally after each weekly session. On the first Sunday of the month, we present God's Word in a community room which is attended by about 20 people.
We have three main speakers; Terry Jones, Jack Markwardt, and Dan Reyes. If you are interested in teaching God's Word, have the gift of music, or just love building relationships with people, join us.
